The wait for the much-anticipated sequel of P. Vasu directorial Chandramukhi (2005), is finally over as the horror-comedy film released on the big screens on Thursday. While fans are going gaga over the Kangana Ranaut and Raghava Lawrence starrer, it is now being reported that the movie has been leaked online and made available to the audiences on several pirated websites.
Yes, you read that right! Chandramukhi 2 has been leaked and is available for the netizens for a free download on various pirated websites hours after its release. According to the reports by Bollywood Life, the news comes days after director P. Vasu in an interview had revealed the reason behind the movie’s release date being postponed. He had shared how over 450 shots from the film’s shooting had gone missing while editing. This led to the movie being postponed from September 15 to September 28. He had gone on to reveal that nearly 150 technicians were searching for footage for 4 days, before they got a hold of them. Well, it is safe to say that this news has left the netizens disappointed, as they were looking forward to watching the horror-comedy on the big screen and relishing in the cinematic experience. For the unversed, Chandramukhi 2’s first instalment was a remake of the 1993 Malayalam film Manichitrathazhu, which was also remade in Kannada as Apthamitra (2004) and in Bollywood as Bhool Bhulaiyaa, starring Akshay Kumar and Vidya Balan.The first part of the franchise was very-well received by the audiences, who are really looking forward to the recently released movie.
Talking about the movie, apart from Kangana Ranaut and Raghava Lawrence, it boasts of a ensemble cast of Vadivelu, Mahima Nambiar, Lakshmi Menon, Srushti Dange, Rao Ramesh, Vignesh, Ravi Maria, Suresh Menon and Subiksha Krishnan. Chandramukhi 2 was reportedly made on a budget of Rs 50 crores and has been released in many regional languages like Hindi, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada and Tamil.
